Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

For those of you who may have returned back to school this week here is your dose of summer vacation one more time :)

Tim and I have just returned from a coupled days away to this humble abode!! And yes it was just as beautiful if not more beautiful than the pictures show.

We left early Monday morning and arrived in Myrtle Beach a little after lunch time for a couple days away. We wanted a mini vacation to just refresh and rejuvenate. When we arrived the first thing we did was play some mini golf. What is absolutely crazy is the amount of mini golf that is in Myrtle Beach (There is a course on every corned I swear!) The course that we chose had a view of the ocean from the 18th hole it was quite beautiful. Here is the hubby and I!

Tim and I mini golfing at Mt. Atlanticus

We then arrived to our hotel and it was magical. We were fortunate to be on the 16th floor(top floor), and had such magical views. Most of the pictures actually came from our room. We had an unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean and the beach beneath us. It was just what the doctor ordered for us.  We of course had to go down to the ocean and play in it since I had never been in the Atlantic Ocean. There is such a difference between the Atlantic and the Pacific. I must say I kind of enjoy the Pacific a bit better (the Atlantic was too warm)

Look at the horizon and its beauty
We spent the early part of the evening playing and splashing in the ocean and pool truly starting our vacation right. We sipped on some beer, and munched on some chips and hit vacation mode.

Beautiful sunrise
I decided to wake up early since I am used to waking up early for work anyways. I wanted to get to see the sunrise (I am used to sunsets due to the Pacific, so I was looking forward to sunrises)

Perfection
We spent our only full day at the beach laying under an umbrella and sitting in some chairs. Its the coolest thing. The lifeguard set sup umbrellas and chairs you can rent by the day. We signed right on up and plopped ourself down. It was a hot day at the beach and the only relief was being in the ocean so thats where we spent a lot of time. While int he water though both Tim and I got stung by a jellyfish. Its the weirdest feeling in the world.

It was such a refreshing mini vacation that I cant wait to plan our next one. This time I want a full week at the beach. There are so many things I felt like I didn't get to do or not do HAHA. So next year we are planning on a week somewhere. Any suggestions? Hope y'all enjoy some of our pictures from our trip. Stay tuned for my post from Darlington, South Carolina over Labor Day weekend.
